About Us
Fox Media Systems, LLC is a small startup venture based solely in Open-Source
software and products. We are proud supporters of the Open-Source community and
its products. We believe that Community based software and products provide the
consumer with greater choices and flexibility in their products and the experiences
with them.
As a long time Linux user and part-time developer I have been proudly helping
Nick Fox / President
promote Linux in the technology community. I have been an Information
Technology Network Engineer for about 10 years. In my time as a Network
engineer I have worked with many products on many platforms, Including Windows,
Linux, Novell, and Mac. In all of my time working with these products I have
always been impressed with the perpetual growth and improvement in the
Open-Source communities. However, most end-users still use PC's with Microsoft
Windows based Software and Applications merely as at a comfort level and compatibility
with their current needs. After several years of working with developers and as
a developer in the Ubuntu community I have decided to take my push a step further,
by "putting my money where my mouth is." When I originally conceived
the idea of Fox Media Systems it was a mere idea to try to sell a few machines
Custom-to-Order to friends and family and try to spread it word of mouth. After
several months, many bags of M&M's, and many hours of research, Fox Media
Systems, LLC was born.
My commitment to you as a consumer is to provide the greatest in home
entertainment possible at the best price possible. I intend to do so solely
based in Open-Source products and supporting the community that provides them.
You may find similar systems on the internet; you might even find them cheaper.
What you will not find is the unsurpassed commitment to customer satisfaction,
and a quality product.
Our commitment to the Open-Source community is to help improve the end-user
experience through our customers’ highly valued input. Our first generation
products will be based on years of expertise and product research. However in
future generations and releases we will need the support of our customers to
provide reviews of our products. As a commitment to the Open-Source community, we
will continue to provide any source code to the community generated for our
products.
